declare后可接由to be/as加名词、形容词、副词或介词短语充当补足语的复合宾语。to be/as有时可以省略。
declare接复合结构时可以用动词不定式或由wh-引起的`疑问词从句作宾语,但它们都由it代替,而它们本身则移到补语后面,此时它的补语多为形容词。
declare作不及物动词时常跟介词against表示“声明反对”,接for表示“宣布支持”。
I declare在美式英语里可表示有点惊异或不高兴,相当于“Oh my God!”。
